TENNIS
Tennis is a major draw for a great deal of island residents. Regardless of time, day or night, tennis is a highlight. Hilton Head Island boasts one of the largest concentrations of top-rated tennis facilities in the country. With over 360 courts there is something for everyone, regardless of skill level. Court surfaces include; clay, grass, and hard court which can be found in any number of private and public facilities scattered throughout the island. Tennis Magazine has recently added Palmetto Dunes Tennis Center, Port Royal Racquet Club, Sea Pines Racquet Club and Van Der Meer Racquet Club to its latest "Top 50 Tennis Resorts". Tennis Magazine has also proclaimed Hilton Head Island as the 'perfect year round tennis vacation spot!'

BOATING
Island Marinas & Harbours
All the marinas found on Hilton Head Island are full-service. Depending on size, each marina has a varying number of boat slips.
Harbour Town, Broad Creek Marina, Palmetto Bay Marina, Shelter Cove harbor and South Beach all have a variety of power boats and wave runners for rent. Most harbors have a charter boat service for island and off shore expeditions. A few marinas also feature sailing and/or boating instruction as well as kayaking and water skiing.
A number of harbors offer an extensive variety of activity, aside from the water. Shelter cove Marina, Harbour Town and South Beach Marina offer fine dining, numerous clothing and gift shops, and an assortment of entertainment (weather permitting).
